On 20 March 2026, the sixth Technical Secretariat (TS) Meeting for the development of the Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCR) for Hotel Accommodation took place online.
Key agenda items included an update on the Supporting Studies, a presentation of the updated Representative Product (RP) model results, and a detailed walkthrough of the second draft PEFCR. In addition, the meeting featured updates on EF-compliant datasets and a discussion of next steps and other relevant project developments.
The PEF Hotel Accommodation project continues to make significant progress towards establishing a robust and science-based methodology for assessing the environmental footprint of hotel accommodation services across Europe.
